- ≥[F]ile-[C]apture≥
- ¿ƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒŸ
-
- Opens and closes the capture file. Toggles the auto mode on and off.
-
- The capture file is named "capture.XXX", where "XXX" is the game age as
- reported on the status and configuration report of Tradewars. If the game
- age is unknown, such as when beginning a new game, the file extension is set
- to "000". Otherwise, the the game age is calculated from the game age
- appearing in a config and status report, a time stamp for that report, and
- the current system time. It is opened under the current game directory (See
- [F]ile-[D]irectory). If the capture file is opened "C.XXX" appears in
- columns 16-20 of the status line.
-
- Auto mode watches for specific character strings indentifying a Tradewars
- session and automatically opens and closes the capture file. If auto mode
- is on, an "A" appears in column 14 of the status line.
-
- ⁄ƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒø
- ≥[F]ile-[G]ame Directory≥
- ¿ƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒŸ
-
- Selects a game directory. Writes to disk and closes currently open data
- files and opens data files of the new directory.
-
- WARNING! If you play in more than one game, it is your responsibility ensure
- the current game directory corresponds to the game you are playing. You
- should set it prior to starting a Tradewars game session, and not change it
- until you have exited Tradewars.
-

- ≥[F]ile-[E]ditor≥
- ¿ƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒŸ

- game directory as the one and only command line argument.

- ≥[F]ile-[R]ead Capture≥
- ¿ƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒŸ
-
- Reads and parses a capture file.
-
- Note that TWGold! continuously parses while online. It is unnecessary to ever
- parse a capture file created by Twgold!. This feature allows new users to
- parse capture files created by other comm programs and build up the Twgold!
- data files prior to going online the first time. You can also use it to
- rebuild your data files from archived captures if for some reason they
- become corrupted or deleted.
-
- ⁄ƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒø
- ≥[F]ile-[W]rite Data≥
- ¿ƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒƒŸ
-
- Writes all data files.
-
- Although parsing is continuously performed and variables are updated while
- online, the data files are written to disk automatically only on two
- occasions - when a game directory is changed and when Twgold! is exited. This
- feature allows you to force a write of the data files. This is useful for
- when you want to spawn an ASCII lister or editor to examine the game
- directory and view a current copy of the *.DAT files.
